An assessment strategy I would use in my own classroom as a final project could be to create something diorama, maps, posters, post-cards, slide-shows, etc. For example “Create a book or e-book retelling the key moments of an events/story from an assigned individual perspective such as Ulysses S. Grant about the Civil War or Mr. Smee about the story Peter Pan. You will present this to the class during Author’s Chair” (H., 2017, p.6). Students use their knowledge as a base but reach into higher level Blooms as they are asked to create something more than a simple regurgitation of facts.
