This is the first in a series of five posts about online curriculum resources. Teaching Tolerance is a fantastic website that is worth a look for any educator or parent. I have used it myself to talk to my own child about these topics.

Teaching tolerance offers free lesson plans, leveled texts, performance tasks, Common Core-aligned teaching strategies and film kits. They cover the following broad topics: ability, bullying & bias, class, gender & sexual identity, immigration, race & ethnicity, religion, and rights & activism. You can filter by grade level, topics, social justice domains and academic subject.
