Curriculum Resource Spotlight: California Academy of Sciences

This is the fourth in a series of five posts about online curriculum resources. If you missed Post One Post Two, or Post Three you can certainly start here as they are not presented in any specific order.

The California Academy of Sciences website has helpful resources for teachers and parents who want to dive into the sciences. We have a membership to the California Academy of Sciences and it is one of our family’s favorite educational outings. We have conducted many mini-investigations after a visit to dig deeper into something that caught our attention during a visit. We love the live-cam options, like the reef cam pictured below, which gives students a chance to virtually visit the exhibit.

The California Academy of Sciences website is my go to first stop to help planning an engaging science lesson. They have lesson plans, science videos, distance learning programs, science kits, and professional development options.
