Book Review-Part One

This is the first in a series of four posts about my recent book adventure. This month I read a wonderful book by Randi Stone called Best Practices for Elementary What Award-Winning Teachers Do which I intend to review over the coming days. So for my first post, I am going to tell you a bit about the author:

Randi Stone graduated from Clark University, Boston University, and Salem State College. She holds a doctorate in education from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. She has published fifteen books on education. I think that naming her as the author is a little misleading. She writes the preface, the contributor’s credentials section, and an annotated bibliography about the chapter at the start of each section. However, the meat of this book is written by other contributors who are award-winning teachers. If her other books follow this format, which I figure that they likely do, she has done a great job compiling Best Practices from award-winning teachers into easily accessible books. I loved this one and plan on picking up more from her in the future.
