Digital Citizenship: Digital Health and Wellness

We as teachers need to understand, teach our students about and participate in Digital Citizenship. So what is Digital Citizenship? I am going to cover the nine elements of Digital Citizenship over several posts, check out the posts on Digital Access, Commerce, Communication, Literacy, Etiquette, Law, and Rights & Responsibilities.

Digital Health and Wellness are “physical and psychological well-being in a digital technology world”(Ribble, 2011). There are dangers surrounding technology including physical issues like repetitive stress syndrome and psychological issues like internet addiction. We need to be aware of them and teach our students how to protect themselves.
